COALATREE X GROWING ORGANIC CABBAGE

SEPTEMBER 23, 2011
ORGANIC CABBAGE is a hearty vegetable that can produce all year long in all types of temperatures, depending on verity. The team grew some red and white summer cabbage on COALATREE farm this season to see how it would take to the Colorado soil. The farm produced some serious oversized beasts that helped us feed our team and our livestock throughout the fall. We started with planters in our bunk house sowing into organic FoxFarm soil. After the last frost we transplanted into the ground spacing each cabbage 18-24 inches apart insuring ample room for growth. We watered daily making sure to water more heavily after the cabbage has reached maturity to get insane growth and size. The team was able to start harvesting in September and will be able to continue throughout the month of October.FARM_CABBAGE ROWS_7-18-11 FARM_BACK TO THE FARM_AUGUSTIN_LINES OF CABBAGE_8-10-11 FARM_BACK TO THE FARM_AUGUSTIN_CABBAGE_8-10-11 skyler cabbage_coalatree farm FARM_ANIMAL FEED HARVEST_CHARLIE WITH CABBAGE_9-19-11
