COALATREE X GROWING ORGANIC PEPPERS

SEPTEMBER 22, 2011
ORGANIC PEPPERS come in an impressive variety of shapes, sizes, and colors. We grew ten different verities of organic peppers on COALATREE Farm this season. The crew transplanted over 200 organic seedlings in the spring after the last frost. We started from seed, in our CT GROW BAGS, guarantying that we would have a large selection of tasty strains. Its best to sow your seeds in early April and gradually expose them to colder tempertures hardening the plants before you plant outside. Plant 18-24 inches apart in rich organic soil, peppers do not normally need staking, but if it seems necessary, they can be tied to canes. Water daily, do not allow plants to dry out or become waterlogged, water little and often. The peppers are ready for picking when smooth and glossy, around August, Start picking to encourage the development of more fruits. Harvest until the first frost, then you can uproot the plant and dry the chiles by hanging the plant in a frost free porch, barn, or shed.FARM_GROWING ORGANIC PEPPERS_PEPPERS ON DIRT_9-22-11 FARM_GROWING ORGANIC PEPPERS_TEQUILA PEPPER_9-22-11 FARM_GROWING ORGANIC PEPPERS_BELL PEPPER_9-22-11 FARM_GROWING ORGANIC PEPPERS_JALAPINO UNDER_9-22-11 FARM_GROWING ORGANIC PEPPERS_ROWS OF PEPPERS_9-22-11 FARM_GROWING ORGANIC PEPPERS_GREEN PEPPER_9-22-11 FARM_GROWING ORGANIC PEPPERS_PEPPER CU_9-22-11 FARM_GROWING ORGANIC PEPPERS_GREEN TAI CHILE_9-22-11 FARM_GROWING ORGANIC PEPPERS_JALAPENO_9-22-11 FARM_GROWING ORGANIC PEPPERS_GREEN TAI CHILE VERTICAL_9-22-11 FARM_GROWING ORGANIC PEPPERS_PICKING BANNA PEPPERS_9-22-11 FARM_GROWING ORGANIC PEPPERS_SKYLER HANDS WITH BANNA PEPPERS_9-22-11
